FROM PENCIL TO PAPER

LEARN TO WRITE

These Creative Writing coaching courses were created by SED UNDERGROUND, a Creative Writing consulting company. We work directly with creative individuals 12-years and older, but the online courses are open to anyone wanting to learn to write or improve their writing skills. We provide group writing workshops to help influence and inspire new and mid-level writers. If you find yourself experiencing writer's block, we are probably the people you’ll want to work with or learn from. This is strictly a coaching and consulting company. We like to have fun and help you create worlds people can get lost in. Our workshops run from forty-five minutes to one hour on any given subject about creative writing and other creative media avenues. The cost of the sessions vary based on the subject, length and speaker.

Basic Creative Writing
Basic Creative Writing

What is Creative Writing? What is visual writing? What are the elements of a "page turner?" What makes a story unique? Is this story unique? These are questions any serious writer asks themselves before putting any of their time or energy into writing a story.

Every story has a beginning, middle and end. The rest are buildups and plot twists that keeps it interesting. Every story or creative work starts with an idea. Then the idea is developed into some creative medium, like screenplays, animations, short stories, poems, comics, and so on.

The environment of a creative writer is vast and expansive. Your writing should be the same but more focused on helping your reader escape their everyday world. Learn how to bring your mysteries, comics, dramas, sci-fi, and action filled fantasy ideas to life.

This is a basic 12-week introductory course to Creative Writing.

Basic Character Creation
Basic Character Creation

What are the elements of creating a character? What makes a good character? What types of characters become iconic? What makes a character unique and memorable? Are your characters relatable?

These are questions any serious writer asks themselves before putting any of their time or energy into writing a story. The characters create the build ups and plot twists. They are your story.

If your stories are your characters, then it makes sense to concentrate on the building blocks of those characters and how they are structured.

This is a basic 5-week introductory course to Character Development.

Sets and Scenes
Sets and Scenes

What sets the tone or voice of a story? How does a reader know the time, place, social or political order, and even financial state of your character and their world? These are the types of questions most serious creators asks themselves when they think of writing a story.

The environment is an important part of a writer's storytelling process. Sets and scenes can allude to the attitude of a story, and even the mental state of your characters. Sets and scenes can also elude to the genre the reader is about to experience. This way your reader is aware of what they should expect.

Will your reader expect to have the fright of their life or end up crying their eyeballs out? Last but not least, the hardest part of creative writing is the process of editing and finalizing the work you've worked so hard on to be presented.

This is a basic 5-week introductory course to editing your work and understanding Creative Environments, Sets and Scenes.
